Local environment

Toolchains​

  • Rust 1.95 or newer (CI pins 1.95.0)
  • Deno 2.9 or newer
  • Node.js 24.14 or newer for the documentation site
  • a C compiler and cmake
  • PostgreSQL 17.x or 18.x for live PostgreSQL work

The embedded Japanese and Korean search dictionaries come from checksum-pinned upstream archives. Stage them before a first offline build:

./scripts/fetch-lindera-dictionaries.sh

Start the product locally:

./scripts/run.sh

Start the documentation site in a second terminal:

cd website
npm install
npm start

The product opens at http://127.0.0.1:8077; the docs development server reports its own local URL.

Keep generated runtime data in the ignored server/jiandu-data/ directory. Do not use production data for development.
